2/13/08 - Commodore's Ball Response and Payment Deadline Extended to Feb. 18
I'd heard that some people were fretting about missing the Feb. 14 deadline for the $50/person price for the Commodore's Ball. I met with the catering manager today, and arranged to extend the deadline. But we must give them a hard count on the Tuesday morning before the event, as they will be placing orders with their vendors and making final preparations. Any additions after that may involve special additional orders and arrangements, hence the $65/person charge. We won't be able to offer last minute 'tickets' at the door.
So, if you would like to come at the $50 price, we must have your response (and, preferably, your payment) by Monday, Feb. 18. Please send me an email or call, and let me know to add you to the count. Or, if you will be at the lake this weekend, you may leave a check with Deloris, at the Bayview Marina office. Please don't wait until the last minute to respond, if you know you're coming.
And thanks to all of you who have all ready responded. We have 90 confirmed, so far.

2/18/08 - LAST CALL for the Commodore's Ball!
Well, rather, last call for reservations at the $50/person price. I have to turn in a number to the caterer, Tuesday morning, Feb. 19. Additions to the list, after that, will be at $65/person (which is still a pretty good deal, though).

2/20/08 - A Few More Places at $50 Per Person
OK, I told the catering manager that I really expected a few more people wanted to come to the Ball, but I hadn't heard back, yet. They told me they'd go ahead and build in enough slack to their orders to add some more people at $50 each.
Call me right away, so I can let them know, and we can make payment arrangements.
