Details:
We have a full day of activity, organized by the gang on N Dock.

Afternoon:
The day will begin with a Bayview Boat Club noon-time raft-up and beach party, at Pat's Redbarn Cove, in honor and memory of Pat Berger, who we lost, last year. Pat had served in several club offices, and his logistics and organizational talent was instrumental in pulling off many of our best beach parties and 'Thunder for the Children' charity events.
When folks gathered at the Cove, Pat took it upon himself to ensure everyone had a good - and safe - time. Pat on watch Even as he waded - with signature hat and beer in hand - talking and joking, he kept a vigilant eye out for ominous weather changes, dangerous boaters, and self-endangered drinkers. If the least sign of trouble arose, Pat was all ready on it. Pat had a special relationship with the Cove - it was his natural habitat - and he made us feel like his treasured guests. He was our adult supervision... and he is missed.
Pat Berger Last November 7, on the day following Pat's funeral, many of his friends and loved ones took an around-the-lake memorial ride on Jake Bays' boat. The trip culminated in a visit to Redbarn Cove. As the sun began to set, Pat's friends ritually rechristened Redbarn Cove as "Pat's". The ceremony concluded with a chilly first dip into the newly renamed waters, by several of the (fool)hardier guys.
Our June 19 Raft-up and Beach party will be a BYOB, BYO-Food get-together. In recent years, our iced kegs of beer on the beach began attracting greater scrutiny of our members by the police and game wardens. We decided to discontinue having kegs at beach parties, at least for now. We will, of course, have food and cold kegs at the evening party, back at the marina.

Evening:
We hope everyone at the raft-up will make a point to return in time for the Fajitas, Beer and Blues Party, beginning at 7:30 PM, at the Bayview pool area. We have a special treat - the evening will feature live music from the Jimmy "Preacher" Ellis Blues Band. Jimmy Preacher Ellis Blues Band The word from several who have heard 'em play at Primo's, is, "these guys are really good".
We'll provide a fajita bar, cold kegs and wine, soda and bottled water. Members should bring a side dish or dessert, if possible. And maybe your swim suit.

Guests and visitors may attend for $10/person one-day membership dues (children free with parent). Just check in at the Registration table.
We hope many members will invite their blues-lovin' friends and family to this special evening. Hey, maybe even start Father's Day a little early!
