Event Wrap-up: Our friends at Chandler's have developed a
fine tradition of celebrating 'International Talk Like A Pirate Day',
and this year, our Club was invited to join in the fun.
Arrr, came they by land, and by sea.
Aye, there was plenty o' grog... er, keg beer, for swilling, and deep-fried hot dogs for grub.
The band, The Bilge
Pumps, in full buccaneer regalia, kept the crowd of
salty tars and randy wenches a jiggin' and laughing, with live, uh..., "music", pirate
jokes, and lots of audience participation.
Finally, prizes were awarded for Best Pirates and Wenches, by vote.
Our thanks to the Bilge Pumps - what a show! - and to Joel, of Chandler's, for putting it all together. It was lots of fun!
