Event Wrap-up: The rainy weather took a break, and
gave us a fine evening for eatin'. Our competing chefs outdid
themselves, with entries of every type - brisket, fallin'-off-the-bone ribs, chicken and pork
roast - all very good. Some even brought multiple entries. The judges
had their work cut out for them.
Members brought a selection of side dishes to round out the feast of
meat. And for those who actually had room left (not me!), there
were desserts, including homemade ice cream.

Our thanks to all the contestants for treating us to some truly excellent gourmet fare. Thanks to our judges, for their time and care in reaching decisions (and making the "sacrifice" of trying every single item). Thanks to those who brought side dishes or desserts (including the homemade ice cream!). As always, our appreciation to everyone who worked to set up and/or clean up, after, so the rest of us could just relax, get full, and have a great time. And finally, our thanks to Bayview Marina for the use of their facilities for our event.
