Event Wrap-up:
The annual 'Parade of Lights' on Lake Ray Hubbard is one of our favorite traditions, fun and
memorable for both participants and spectators. Decorated and lighted
boats from Bayview Marina - sometimes joined by boats from the other
marinas - parade around the lake, in a festive holiday flotilla.
Sadly, the day's high winds persisted after sunset, and forced us to cancel the Dec. 5 Parade, out of safety concerns. Boats were judged in their slips, and the awards were presented at the Christmas Party:

The judges also scored the decorated docks, using a weighted point system, to arrive at their decision for
Best Decorated Dock:
1st Place - 'K' Dock
2nd Place - 'M' Dock
Our thanks to all who decorated their boats, and their docks and pavilions. Special thanks to the judges, who had to slowly walk the length of all our docks, braving the bitter winds, deliberating scores, and finally determining our winners - while the rest of us were huddled near heaters, drinking hot buttered rums! And especially, our thanks to Leatta and the folks of 'N' Dock, for planning and hosting our annual Christmas Party.
