Details:
The Bayview Boat Club is kicking off this holiday season by
hosting a Christmas dock-decorating work party, followed by a
spaghetti supper (and a keg, all provided, our treat). We're hoping to get everyone out and into
the decorating spirit, before the weather turns cold.
We encourage everyone at the marina to come and join your dock-mates,
hanging lights, etc., on your boat (the 'Parade of Lights' is Dec. 6)
and your slip, and down the docks. It's more fun when we're all out
working at the same time.
On the south end, Commodore Miller has already got us off to a good start with the colorful lighted balls he's strung all along S Dock, tying M, N, and O together:
So, haul all those unused lights and decorations to
the marina (or buy more?!), along with your tape and zip-ties,
and let's get to work, making it a showplace. We'll spend the afternoon
working up an appetite, then enjoy spaghetti and beer, when it begins to
get dark. Please bring garlic bread or a garden salad, if you're able,
to fill out the offering.
And then, as night falls, we'll get a first peek at what our efforts, thus far, look
like at night! Maybe we'll even spontaneously burst out into song, with
some favorite Christmas carol. Or, not.
