Easter Egg Hunt

and Dinner on the Dock

Location: 'M' Dock, Bayview Marina

Details: The sunny and mild weather was perfect for this year's 'M' Dock Easter Egg Hunt and Dinner.
The afternoon began with Commodore John Miller working over a steaming vat of hot oil, frying the fish, puppies and french fries, as Jeannie and the girls set out the rest of the feast. The Easter spread included fried fish, ham, turkey, brisket, crawfish, and an assortment of delicious side dishes and desserts. After everyone was well and truly stuffed, it was time for the egg hunt.

The children were led off the dock, out to the grassy area, near the pool. On signal, the kids raced out to find the loot - colored plastic eggs with numbers Little Egg Hunter attached. The little ones got a bit of help, while the bigger kids stampeded this way and that, making sure no tuft of clover was left unchecked. When there were no eggs left, the group was taken back to the dock to exchange the numbered eggs for a variety of prizes.

Congratulations to John, Jeannie and everyone who helped put this event together. The kids all had a great time, the adults were entertained by the spectacle of the hunt, and everyone had plenty of (or, too much!) good food from the over-abundant selection.
