Event Wrap-up: The wind tried, but couldn't keep 'em away, as the new Bayview Boat Club Board kicked Karen the grill Queen off the new season with a backyard-style cook-out at the marina pool. Party-goers feasted on tasty grilled sirloin burgers and hot dogs, washed down with keg beer, wine or soda, as classic Jimmy Buffett tunes played in the background.

Registration Table The annual membership drive was a success. We had a good turn-out, with many new members signing up, along with the renewals - thanks! BBC t-shirts were given to the first 50 paid membership sign-ups. We're off to a great start.

It was still too cool for the pool, so people circulated Burgers by the pool about and clustered, catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. Someone was even flying a kite from the pool enclosure. During a break in the music, Commodore John Miller introduced himself, thanked people for coming, and briefly remarked on his plans and hopes for the season. Overall, everyone had a good time.

Little Partiers Thanks to everyone who helped out. Special thanks to Don Riggs for bringing his kegerator - it really simplified the whole beer setup, not to have to haul ice. And thanks to Jim Rosenberg for again letting us store our kegs in the restaurant cooler.
