7/6/10 - M Dock Disaster, Etc.
Calling all boat club members! Friday afternoon, at the beginning of the 4th of July weekend, tragedy struck Tom and Roxie Madison. Their houseboat, on M dock, caught on fire and sank. By the grace of God, nobody was hurt. I would ask every boat club member to come to the relief of our fellow marina neighbors and keep them in your prayers. They lost everything but the clothes on their back in this tragedy.

Since my last post, we have had the Blessing of the Fleet. I want to thank Pat and Lori Lee for making this event successful. At our next event, N dock hosted a raft up and a blues party at the pool and served fajitas and beer.  I would like to personally thank N dock for a great day of delicious food and awesome music. We even got to see Brian Dusek “cut a rug”. I don’t know why they call it blues because it makes me happy.

I want to thank everyone for their dedication and hard work to make these events successful. I am looking forward to the next event hosted by O dock at the end of July. Get you water pistols, water cannons, or water balloons ready for the shoot-out. Get ready for some good old country music on O dock. I sure am having a lot of fun this year.

4/23/10 - Season Kick-off a Success
The Season Kick Off and New Membership Drive was a success. The weather was threatening, but we still had a good turn out of members. I want to thank our hard working board and Bayview Marina for helping us kick off our new season.
I want to also thank our current members and new members for joining our club and look forward to hearing any suggestions that you have to make our club better. We enjoyed a day of friendship and excitement of events to come.
Shawn with Ship Shape offered a premium boat clean for new or current members that signed up or renewed at the kick off party. The winner of the drawing is Earnest Graf. I was told that he has never won anything before and not having to clean your boat is a great prize. Shawn has offered to extend the offer to our next event on May 1st.
Any of our members that have businesses that would like to help sponsor an event or donate to the Shriner's Children’s Hospital, contact any of our board members or you can contact me.

3/22/10 - Fourteen Years
The Bayview Boat Club is celebrating its 14th year. The club was formed by Bayview Marina boat owners in 1996 that were friends who wanted to do more than just hang out. We are a social club that has monthly events either at the marina or out on the lake. Our club is made up of current and past boat owners. Members are boat owners that slip their boat at Bayview and other marina’s on Lake Ray Hubbard, boat owners that trailer their boat or keep it in dry storage, and some who have no boat at all Since our club is a social club, I can assure you that you will meet many new friends that share the love of water, boating, and the fun of dock life. Our monthly parties bring us together and are put on by members that volunteer to help for each event. Become a member and bring your ideas and friendship. We all share the same love of boating.
